This 2.5 hour class introduces the children to making pasta by hand, mixing the ingredients and using a pasta machine, and preparing a Bolognaise Sauce

Students learn how to make fettuccine pasta from scratch

How to knead Pasta Dough

Students learn the correct technique needed to knead pasta dough to develop the gluten and create a firm, yet tender pasta

Master Class

Bolognaise Sauce

The presenter, with the assistance of the kids, demonstrates the tricks and technique needed to make a rich Bolognaise Sauce.

Interactive Nutritional Education

Taste-Testing Game

Students are given the opportunity to taste and learn the difference between 5 varieties of cheeses – from sharp and strong, to soft and mild. At the end they choose their favourite cheese to sprinkle on their pasta and sauce.

Children cook their own menu items. All ingredients and equipment is supplied. Classes are kept to a maximum of 16. At least two staff members supervise each group of children. All our of staff have current Working With Children Checks and each Presenter holds a First Aid Certificate.

Workshop time - 9.30pm-12noon

Afternoon tea is provided in a break, however, we suggest that you provide a snack and a bottle of water.
